CASSIE

6/23/08: Cassie is a cute little sable brushcoat. She's young, probably between 1-2 years. She loves people and gets along very well with other dogs. Cassie was picked up as a stray in Georgia and ended up in a shelter where a very nice man named Myles took really good care of her until we could get her out.

Cassie is house trained, crate trained, fully vaccinated and on heartworm preventive. She is also spayed and microchipped. Cassie will have entropion surgery on Thursday, 6/26. After that she'll be ready for her new home!

7/16/08: Cassie has had her eyes fixed and is ready to go!

7/19/08: Doesn't Cassie look happy with her new mom, Daru? I think they really like each other and Daru kept saying how beautiful Cassie is. And she is!! We know Cassie will have a great life with Daru and her new brother, Buster.

7/21/08: Hi Cindy-Things are going well; Cassie and Buster are getting along fine (playing and lazing around).  She’s a sweetie!  She seems so much younger to me, but that may be because she’s had so little training.  And she really looked tiny when I put her next to Buster.  I’ve taken some pictures; I’ll try to send those tonight.  But, I couldn’t help but giggle this morning-- even though the bed is off limits-- when she jumped in the bed, laid across me, and licked my face J  She’s been very itchy since I picked her up and her little armpits are raw, where she’s scratched.  So she’ll be seeing the vet this week.

We require that a home visit by a volunteer be done prior to adoption. The purpose of the home visit is to ensure that the information given during the adoption process is correct and that the home is the right match for the dog being adopted. The home visit also gives adopters a chance to ask questions about the adoption process.

The adoption fee for Cassie is $250, which helps to offset the cost of her medical care.

If you have trouble filling out our application, please let us know and we will be happy to provide you with an application via email or "snail" mail.
