Jake (formerly Gus)

4/27/08: These beautiful peibies are 4 weeks and 2 days old. Besides being gorgeous, they are very smart. They're learning to eat from a bowl and pee on a puppy pad. They are also learning to play with each other and with their foster mom and dad, Sarah and Jason. They are happy, healthy, social little peibies.

Ruby is a cream dilute, Ella and Jake are fawns with very black masks. All three are brushcoats.

Aren't they the cutest things you've ever seen?

Ruby and Ella will be ready for new homes toward the end of June. We have already approved a great home for Jake.

Are these pups gorgeous or what? This is Ella and Jake and before long they'll be going to their new homes like their sister Ruby.

7/5/08: Well, the last of this litter has gone to his new home in Snellville GA. Little Jake is making forever friends with Darwin, Jeanee, and Kennedy. It was really hard to let this one go. We had bonded, but I guess that happens when you let a dog sleep with you! Jake is in a great place and will be loved dearly.

7/7/08: Good Morning!!! I want to thank you again for letting us adopt Jake.  He is a great addition to our family.  Jake settled in quite nicely this past weekend.  He explored his new home and met my brother and his daughter, Bre.  We spoke about Bre while in TN.  I was concerned that Bre would be afraid of Jake, but to my surprise she took to him immediately.  Jake was a little reserved and observed her for a minute, but quickly enjoyed the pat on the head he received from her.  We took Jake out several times to walk him, and he explored the neighborhood.  There were three young boys playing basketball, and Jake stopped and took a seat.  He seemed to enjoy watching them play.  You warned us that he snores.   There were several times I got tickled listening to him snore.  He sounds like he had a rough day and is just exhausted by the way he snores.........too cute!  Kennedy, our 4-year old daughter, asked to speak to Jake on the phone.  We told her he was having dinner and would have to call her back.  She is SOOO excited to meet him.  She will be home on Sunday.  I will take some pictures soon and email you..............
