NOEL, GRACIE, ZHEN AND RUDY

NOEL  7/3/08: This cute little girl is making her new home with Celia and Talia, Cookie, Cyril, Sniffles and Taz. Celia and Talia are very active in our group - fostering, transporting and just being great friends. She has a new name. Well, not exactly new, just expanded. Her new first name is Fiona. Celia decided that when saying Noel, because the first syllable is NO, Fiona Noel was getting mixed signals. Good thinking, Celia.
Fiona Noel and her new sister, Cookie

Cyril is thinking "exactly what part of my anatomy is she looking at???"

Fiona Noel, the angel?? NOT!

GRACIE 7/2/08: Gracie has a new home with sisters, Sushi and Lauren, and new mom, Caryn. She left yesterday and today we learned that Sushi is having some adjustments problems, but hopefully she'll settle down in a day or so. Gracie is in a great place where she will get lots of love and attention and where she'll be able to enjoy the good life.

7/20/08: Gracie is settling in very nicely in her new home and she's doing very well with her two new sisters. Isn't she a beautiful little puppy?

ZHEN 7/2/08: Zhen and Rudy have a new home together in Gastonia NC . Their new brother, Hannible, is a therapy dog and both these guys will be trained when they're old enough. Isn't that cool? Thanks, Chong and Art, for taking these boys together. I know they have a great home.

7/3/08: Good morning Cindy! Thank you so much for the pictures.  They had a great ride home, and got here safely last night.  The meeting with our older Peis went well, although I don't know if Hannible quite knows what to make of the two puppies.   This morning, they woke up and I got morning kisses, and then they fell back asleep on me.  Rudy and Zhen both love the backyard, especially the monkey grass.  Rudy is very adventurous and Zhen has turned out to be very protective.  They have been exploring everything. Thank you very much for your love and work. Our boys were well taken care of by you. Thank you again. Chong

Woody

9/15/08: It's been a very long time coming, but finally Woody is in his new home in Atlanta. Look at this boy now. He is gorgeous and he loves Stacey!

9/16/08:Just a quick note for you this morning....
After we talked, they started in with the play posturing.  Woody was jumping on Raisin and she didn't quite know what to do but she didn't back off.  Woody would bark at her and it startled her at first but then she actually growled at him, no barking yet.  They carried on for a long time and then Raisin got tired of it and went outside.  Woody followed her but would come back in frequently.  At bedtime I couldn't get Raisin to come in so I ended up putting her on the bed with me until she settled down.  Of course I ended up having to put Woody up there too but I put a pillow between them.  Woody eventually settled in on my side of the bed pushing me to sleep crosswise.  Raisin finally wanted down and got onto her bed and went to sleep.  Woody moved around a lot during the night but surprisingly I am not tired from lack of sleep, it may hit me later.  Woody gobbled down his food this morning and wanted more.  I had to close the dog door and put up a dog gate in order to get Raisin to eat in peace, otherwise I don't think she would ever get any food.  I had to close the dog door because she would just go out and never eat.  They have been playing this morning and resting.  I am going to attempt a walk soon.  Still have my fingers crossed that they will learn to get along well and enjoy each other.

Woody and Raisin

Didn't take long for Raisin to teach Woody how great her pool is!
He's having so much fun, I don't think he misses us.

9/24/08: Everything is fine. They still play-fight a lot, but most of the time they just go their separate ways. Woody is very bad about taking hooves and toys away from Raisin, but then he likes to lay next to her too, not touching though. They move all over the living room and deck as the day goes by. I found out something not so good about Raisin. She is food aggressive. I gave them both a hoof with a little peanut butter in it and when Woody tried to take hers she got almost vicious. I had a friend visiting at the time who has three dogs of her own and she thought it might have been because their was someone new in the house. I was really scared because I have never seen Raisin like that. I do feed them separately because Woody would be in her food as soon as he finished his so that is working out okay. I feed him first then block off the kitchen for Raisin as I told you before. So now there will be no more hooves with peanut butter. They don't act this way with just plain hooves. Woody's bed got here but he has yet to lie on it and neither has Raisin. Both have walked on it. If you remember Raisin didn't use hers for a long time. Took Woody to the vet yesterday for his check in. He now weighs 36 pounds. My friend brought them some new toys and they have really played with them. Raisin has chewed holes in the two little ones you gave me but Woody has found lots of other ones to play with. I probably have too many for them and they just go from one to another.
