PETEY
(formerly Nash)

3/3/08: This beautiful apricot dilute boy was running loose in an alley in Nashville and was saved by a good samaritan. We're calling him Nash. He's a tiny little thing, probably a mini, and is definitely in need of some TLC. He's very skinny, his nails are turned sideways because they are so long and his eyes are in terrible condition. He has cherry eye in both eyes and probably has some permanent damage to his sight. He's been on his own for quite some time. In spite of having to fend for himself, he has the sweetest temperament. He wiggles all over when you touch him or speak to him. He's house trained.
Nash is seeing the doctor this afternoon, so check back to find out what she says about him.
Look at that face!
3/12/08: Nash is healthy except for having sarcoptic mange, which we are treating. He definitely has some sight loss, but he doesn't bump into things. He is heartworm negative and on preventive, vaccinated and house trained. He'll be neutered and have the cherry eyes and entropion fixed on 3/20/08. Then he'll be ready for his new home.
4/9/08: Look how much better Nash is after his surgery. He can see!! What a great little guy. The ideal home for Nash would have a fenced yard and at least one other dog so he can run and play with a friend.
6/7/08: This cute little guy is in his new home with his new sister, Bella, and his new mom and dad, Bryan and Carita and he'll soon have a new baby brother, Nicholas, who is scheduled to be born on July 2. Nash (his new name is Petey) waited a long time for just the right family and this is it. He and Bella hit it off from the first sniff. We're really happy for little Petey.
