4/9/08: We're calling this little girl (only 29 lbs) Rosie O'Grady. The reason for that is because at the shelter we thought she was a boy, so we named her Grady. Once home, we realized our mistake, so we changed her name to Rosie O'Grady. What a sweetheart! She's a tiny little thing and you should see her run in the yard. She loves being outside so she can run circles in the grass. Rosie gets along with other dogs. She will be spayed and have her eyes fixed soon and will be ready for adoption soon after that.

6/9/08: Rosie is wondering why no one has applied to adopt her yet. She's a very well behaved little girl. She's house trained, crate trained, between 2-3 years old and no trouble at all. Maybe she'll have her own family soon.   

6/23/08: Little Rosie is with her sister, Lola, in her new home in Royal Oak MI. Rosie was a little afraid at first, but when she realized how sweet and gentle Sandy was, she decided that this adoption thing was going to be okay for her. AND she gets to be with Lola. She'll also have another sister. Her name is Bebe. She's excited to meet her. We're sure these three girls will learn to love each other.

We are very grateful to Sandy for adopting Rosie as well as Lola because we think it will make all the difference in Lola's progress to trust people again. Thanks, Sandy!!

7/1/08: Rosie is doing well. She and Bebe play, but I don't think Bebe can quite keep up with littte fireball Rose at times but she sure tries.

7/6/08:"A piece of work' is a good way to describe Rosie, a sweet 'piece of work' that is. She is very affectionate, but can get spooked very easily. And when a dog visited next door I have never seen a dog run that fast back in forth at the fence so excited. unfortunately there were a few sunflowers and day lilies that sucumbed to her exuberance. C'est la vie! I enjoyed seeing her run and boy did she sleep good. Sandy

7/20/08: Hi, Cindy. The trainer came to the house last night and she said Rosie was doing well and as far as strangers go I need to continue to expose her but not to let them approach and eventually she will get more and more used to other people. That is one of her issues besides the walking business with other dogs and GETTING HER EARS CLEANED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  What a pain in the butt; however, she doesn't get to win and I know eventually she will settle down. It's just that I am ringed with sweat by the time we are done and she settles one last time before she is allowed to be released. Sandy

8/21/08: Rosie is doing good but really gets spooked sometimes. I dont know what does it some of the time but for the most part it is any kind of sudden noise. It might take her a day or two to warm back up to me and go running out of the house when I walk by her. Sandy
