11/15/09: We are posting this girl as a courtesy to a good samaritan who is fostering her. Nakita is an older girl that was left by her owners. We don't know a lot about her except that she's very sweet and she likes most other dogs. Trouble is that where she is now has a female that doesn't like her and Nakita is being attacked by her. You can see the scars on her head.

 

Nakita will be spayed, heartworm checked and vaccinated in the next few days. Check back to see how she's doing.

4/6/2010: This is not at all a Success Story, but it is the only place we have to let people know that Nakita passed away tonight. She died on her way to the vet. According to Pam, her foster mom, she was having a hard time breathing and was very anxious. Pam wonders if perhaps her tumor came back. At least we know that she was well taken care of and loved by Pam for the last few months of her life. RIP, Miss Nakita.
