Buddha - Adoption Pending

3/249/2016: Buddha is a 5 year old black brushcoat Shar Pei. She is on a heartworm preventative, up to date on her shots, and will be spayed soon.

Buddha came to the rescue from a shelter in east Tennessee. She came into the shelter with two other shar peis and they all were in very bad physical condition in addition to being unsocialized. Buddha was very timid when brought home from the shelter, but has really blossomed in her foster home. After only a few short weeks, she enjoys playing with her foster Pei outside. She doesn't like to be in a crate but really likes to sleep with her foster mom at night.

Buddha is being fostered in a home with other dogs and small children and she enjoys being with both.

As soon as Buddha is spayed, she will be ready for her forever home. We think Buddha would really like a home with children and other dogs. She doesn't need a real active home, but she does enjoy having people around.

Are you the right home for this sweet girl?

Back to adopton pageWe require that a home visit by a volunteer be done prior to adoption. The purpose of the home visit is to ensure that the information given during the adoption process is correct and that the home is the right match for the dog being adopted. The home visit also gives adopters a chance to ask questions about the adoption process.

The adoption fee for Buddha is $300, which helps to offset the cost of her medical care.
