Mickey is an old style Shar-Pei - may be a mix, we're not sure. He is about 18 months old. He came to us from a shelter in Georgia where they tell us he was picked us as a stray. It is apparent that Mickey had a home at one time because he knows the basic commands. He wants to be a good boy, but he's young and needs some basic training.

Mickey is a tall boy, with longer legs than most Pei. He's lean and very healthy.

Mickey is current on his shots, neutered and on heartworm preventive. He is also microchipped so he's ready for his new home!!

Mickey would love to have a home of his own so he can have the love and attention he so deserves. He had a little trouble with one of the two dogs in his previous foster home so we think he might do best in a home where he is the only dog. Unfortunately, Mickey is a chain link fence climber. Good thing, though, is that he's crate trained.

Let's don't give up on this guy. He wants to be good. He just needs a chance.

Back to adopton pageWe require that a home visit by a volunteer be done prior to adoption. The purpose of the home visit is to ensure that the information given during the adoption process is correct and that the home is the right match for the dog being adopted. The home visit also gives adopters a chance to ask questions about the adoption process.

The adoption fee for Mickey is $200, which helps to offset the cost of his medical care.
