3/13/08: This cute little thing is Nugget. She's a 31 pound cream dilute horsecoat and she's only 8 months old. She is full of herself - she loves other dogs and she loves to play. Nugget has been spayed, had all her vaccinations and is on heartworm preventive. She's seeing the vet tomorrow to see what's going on with her skin, but we're sure a good healthy diet is going to clear it up very quickly.
Nugget came to us from a shelter in middle Tennessee. She must not have slept much while she was there because last night she was so sleepy she couldn't hold her eyes open. Poor girl. She must have really been stressed out. As you can see in the picture above, Nugget only has a 4" tail. We don't know what happened to it, but hopefully it was not traumatic for her.
Nugget doesn't appear to be completely housetrained just yet, but we're working on that. She is very smart so we know it won't take long. When she came yesterday, she was terrified of a leash, but by the last potty break last night, she was walking really well on it.

Nugget is in love with Elvis!

I am sooooooo sleepy!
3/24/08: Nugget is safe and sound in her new home in South Carolina. I talked to Ruth Ann this morning and from everything I could gather, Nugget is already spoiled rotten! But we wouldn't have it any other way.
